I’ve been on the SlimFast Plan for over two years, yet I still manage to stay inspired and motivated every day. I’ve lost 25 stubborn pounds – and have kept them off! Life often throws us obstacles – whether it’s stress from work, or family related matters. However, I continue to stay focused and overcome bad habits with the help of a great plan. Before SlimFast, I had bad habits including overeating and eating right before going to sleep. I really believe those actions contributed to my weight gain.
Because I work the night shift, my sleep and eating patterns are often erratic. Before SlimFast, I would come home from work, consume a big breakfast, shower, and then head straight to bed. I realized eating right before sleeping was not helping with my weight loss. Because I didn’t want to have anything else to eat at least 2 hours before bed, I learned to have my last snack on the way home from work. I would get home and take a light 15-minute jog, shower, and get ready for bed.
I think creating a routine helped me to overcome my late eating habits and stick to my goals. On rainy days, I would have a cup of chamomile tea to help relax and unwind before bed. Small changes can lead to big results; these subtle modifications to my schedule really triggered results. I am so thankful for SlimFast and their support. Every day, I look at myself and feel so proud. It was never totally about the weight loss; it was about sticking to my goals and staying committed. If I could do this – then I could do whatever I set my mind to. I don’t care what others think or say; I did this for me. Now, I look and feel better than I ever have!
