SlimFast Provides 150,000 Meals and Snacks to Help Hurricane Harvey Victims

75,000 nutritious meals and 75,000 100-calorie snacks are headed to the Houston area to support disaster relief efforts

PALM BEACH GARDENS Fla., Sept.1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — With Hurricane Harvey leaving catastrophic damage to Southeast Texas and an estimated 30,000 people without homes, SlimFast swiftly organized a two-part 80,000 pound donation to aid in the disaster relief effort.

SlimFast announced today that it will be shipping ready-to-drink meal shakes and nutritious 100-calorie snacks. This first full truckload of product is destined for the Houston Food Bank, which will serve those hardest hit by Harvey in the Corpus ChristiBeaumont and Galveston areas.

Furthermore, SlimFast will also be donating a second full truckload, delivered with its partner retailers, Walmart and Sam’s Club. Those meals and snacks will soon be delivered to the American Red Cross in Houston.

Today SlimFast sent more than 75,000 SlimFast® Original meal replacement ready-to-drink shakes and over 75,000 SlimFast® Advanced Nutrition various chips and cookie snacks. These donations are expected to arrive in the Houston area by early next week.
