So you’ve achieved a weight loss milestone - CONGRATULATIONS! Your hard work and dedication have paid off and you deserve to enjoy your success. Here are some ways to embrace your new life and to enjoy the freedoms you have rightfully earned!
- Enjoy a meal at your favorite restaurant occasionally
Revel in the freedom of being able to enjoy occasions like meals out with friends and family, utilize the skills you have developed on your weight loss journey such as practicing mindfulness when it comes to food portions and paying attention to hunger and fullness cues.
- Show yourself off
Wear that goal outfit, dress or swimsuit that you have had hanging in your closet. Feel confident in your own skin and feel proud to show off your accomplishments!
- Accept compliments from others
Proudly accept compliments from friends and family when they tell you how great you look! You never know who you may inspire as a result!
- Enjoy the improvements in your health
Some individuals may experience improved health markers such as their cholesterol, blood pressure or blood sugar levels. Some may even enjoy the newfound freedom of fewer medications or health regimens per their doctor.
- Enjoy traveling or experiencing new places
Maybe you have always wanted to travel but never felt comfortable in the airline, train or bus seats. Perhaps you wanted to enjoy various activities that your weight prohibited you from, or maybe you were unable to walk long distances to explore nature or enjoy theme parks. Now may be the time to get out there and experience all of these things that you were not able to do prior!
