Lost 28 lbs. and 10” in 29 weeks
Growing up in an Italian household, Tina was raised to love pasta and bread! For most of her adult life, her weight fluctuated 10 to 15 pounds every few years. She tried several “diets,” but was never able to sustain the lifestyle or weight loss. Read Tina’s personal story of how she recognized she needed a change and was so ready to love herself again!
In December 2017, I started my weight loss journey with a goal of losing 12 pounds, my pre-pregnancy weight from over 10 years ago. I didn’t realize I was gaining weight until one day I noticed my jeans and dress pants were insanely tight, so much so that I’d get a stomachache wearing them! I refused to buy bigger pants and therefore made the decision to try SlimFast!
I found the 1-2-3 Plan to be easy and fit perfectly into my busy single-parent life. Sure, I had days where I wanted to throw in the towel, but my ambition to be a better version of myself was stronger than my excuses. I started off with plain chocolate smoothies that evolved into some seriously yummy creations, like Berry Cheesecake and Peanut Butter Banana! I look forward to my morning shake!

Planning ahead and creating an eating schedule were key to my success. I never had an issue getting in exercise and water so that part was easy! My weight loss was slow but steady, losing a healthy 1 to2 pounds per week. Once I hit my goal weight, I realized I could stand to lose more, so I adjusted my goal three times before hitting a final goal of 109! I’ve lost 28 pounds in 29 weeks and I’m keeping the weight off! I might be 45, but I am a spunky, energy-filled mom that can run circles around my teens!
My lifetime goal is to maintain a sustainable, healthy weight and lifestyle, and to continue to get stronger and leaner. My workouts are more challenging, but we can’t change without challenge, so I embrace it! I have found ways to enjoy the foods I love in moderation and also have found healthier, low-calorie alternatives. Eating healthy can be delicious and fun! And yes, I’ll have that cupcake or chips and salsa here and there – it’s ok!

What have I learned? Everything in moderation – do not deprive yourself! You must eat to lose weight! Take your journey one day at a time! One bad meal or one bad day will not ruin your progress, get back on plan and keep going!
Thank you SlimFast for showing me the way!
