I began my weight loss journey because I was so physically out of shape and miserable. I was eating antacids daily and still having issues with heartburn. I never had any energy and felt bad all the time. The last straw was the day before I began the SlimFast Plan. I had a salad for lunch, and I hurt the rest of the day - really bad. I decided the next day would be different, and it was. My current weight is 157.6 lbs, which is 55 pounds lost in nine months.

I feel absolutely amazing! Honestly, if you would have told me I would feel as good as I do and have the energy I have after a few months doing the SlimFast Plan I might not have believed you, but it is so true. Getting to a healthier weight has made such a difference in my life. I no longer lay around in the bed on my days off. I do things. I enjoy walking and hiking. I couldn’t have done that before. SlimFast is my choice because I like the convenience. I know I am healthier because it gives me the nutrients my body needs without me having to plan too much. I only have to plan one meal and my snacks. I keep those simple by eating SlimFast snacks and a healthy meal with a lean protein (mostly fish) and veggies such as spinach and broccoli, accompanied by a whole grain. My favorite food is Mexican, and I steered away from that at first, but then I found ways to be able to go eat with my family when ordering Mexican. I looked for vegetarian and shrimp dishes and ate little or no rice, substituted black beans instead of refried and ate a small amount of chips and salsa. Any food can be incorporated on The Plan.

I learned that in order to feel good you have to be good. Eating the right foods along with the SlimFast Plan makes all the difference. I have learned that if I eat better foods and not use my one meal a day to eat unhealthy foods, I feel much better, have more energy, and feel more positive. It makes a huge difference in how I feel and my mood.

Life gets hard and gets in the way of weight loss success sometimes. Our emotions can overcome us. We must stay strong and diligent to the SlimFast Plan to be able to see any success. We will fail at times but it is how we deal with adversity and failure that will make the difference. Do we give in and give up or do we fight harder? I would tell anyone I know to fight harder! It is so worth it. They are so worth it. Stay focused! Meal tracking apps helped me a lot in the beginning to track my food. When I wasn’t losing as I would like, I would go back to that app and plug-in what I ate and sometimes realized I wasn’t eating enough or maybe eating too much. You know your body is fickle and sometimes if you don’t feed it enough, it will not let go.  Eat our calories, drink our water, exercise as much as we can and feel better!
